Ok I am watching this Epic movie(cartoon one) and I have no idea what is going on really, it actually sort of reminds me of the Ant Bully in which a person is shrunk into a little person in which they need to sort of live the life of the creature. I won't spend too much time talking about this film because I do not have that much to say but I feel like this film isn't really suited for anyone except for kids, young teenagers and parents. For me there isn't that much story-wise which interested me, that is why I cannot say that much.
Overall the whole movie could have had better character development I think, and maybe a back story of how the protagonist became the person she was, I feel like that could have done something more to the film to help viewers understand the relationship better with the father and the daughter because you sort of have to guess as not much is actually told in the story.
Can I give the film a 3/10?? I might need to watch this film one more time in the future as I didn't really watch this film properly but I feel like the plot really made the film a bit boring to watch. That is all!

Pokemon The Series XY Collection 1 (Series DVD Collection Review)
Hey everyone, sorry for being so slack on reviews but I really haven't been in the mood for doing any reviews lately so I haven't been doing much. At the moment I am watching Pokemon XY so I thought I might do a review on the collection released by Beyond Home Entertainment.
The series XY continues on from the previous Black and White series in which Ash and Pikachu go on and continue their journey by visiting the Kalos region. Just like when Ash traveled to Sinnoh and Hoenn, Ash decided to leave all his old Pokemon behind once again except for his partner Pikachu.
I know this series has similarities between the first season and the Ruby and Sapphire arc in which for one thing, the opening uses the same lyrics as the original series, and also (Spoiler Alert), Ash loses his gym battle and decided to train up his Pokemon. Oh yea, did I mention that there's a girl chasing Ash??? Let's not reveal too much so soon :) Also in this series Ash travels with with a young girl who is still too young to be a trainer(remember Max??) though she doesn't have the brains Max did, but let's not compare them :P
A few things that has changed is that Ash's region starter isn't a grass type, and Ash has had some cosmetic changes which I don't think are too noticeable. Also Ash's male friend doesn't have the different eyes Cilan and Brock had, but we are introduced to the art of science :) Oh yea, whenever there's a TBC the episode usually ends as a cliff hanger which is a bit different to usual episodes which normally end. This is usually because the story for that episode ends but then they bring in a bit of the story for the next episode to make that cliff hang, annoying! >< Don't get me started on Nurse Joy ai-ya!
That's all I want to say about the series at the moment anyway. For the series I think it's pretty average but it's quite enjoyable at the same time. My rating would be 7.5/10 :D The series follows what normally happens in each series so there's nothing much different, just new Pokemon and characters etc.
As for this collection, I like how Beyond has finally taken the time to make a nice selection screen instead of just a list of episode so good job! Just like the usual designs, Beyond has split up this series into two collections. This collection features a red and blue Poke-Ball, though I'm not certain if they just made that Poke-Ball or not, the design continues on from the previous collections so yey :D
So what's missing from this collection?? I know many people are still wanting subs and Japanese versions, but I guess it can't be helped too much, but why no English subs?? Let's hope everyone knows what they're saying right?? I also noticed that the audio is still 2.0 so that's not too great, but it's still typical for a TV show. At the moment I'm still waiting for Blu-Ray releases of the series so Beyond Home Entertainment, please keep that in mind!!
Not much else to say really, so let's leave it there. If you're wondering how much I got it for, it was around $18 price matched on Mightyape, so it's pretty normal. Usually it sells for around $25 so if you can, be sure to price match it to save yourself some $$. Until next time, cya!

Avatar the Legend of korra Season 4 Episode 6 Battle of Zaofu (TV Show Review)
Hey everyone, so I watched the latest episode of Korra today, and I'm pretty disappointed actually. So Kuvira fights with Korra one on one for the control of Zaofu, and honestly, I say I was disappointed because her fighting is terrible, I really expected more from Korra, though I'm not quite sure if it's just the people who didn't plan it better or something. But anyway, that's basically what happened actually. Apart from that, Bolin and Varrick are now held to keep working on the vine spirit energy, only to have the train blow up moments later in the episode, but you'll figure it all out once you watch the episode, but really I'm disappointed because once again, hardly anything happened. There used to be so much drive in the Avatar series, and now it's kind of dragging on. But yea anyway, can't wait to see what happens in the end! Well until next time, bye!

Avatar The Legend of Korra Season 4 Episode 5 Enemy at the Gates (TV Show Review)
Hey guys, I watched episode 5 of Legend of Korra yesterday, let's see what's happened without giving too much away. So Kuvira wants to claim Zaofu for the new empire, and we as viewers basically realise how "crazy" she is as she's willing to kill people to get there.
There's an amazing fighting scene with the robots, something which you don't see often on avatar, so there's more of a mix of bending and robotic fighting. We also see who is on who's side properly, and also get ready for the big climax which we can almost expect to happen as a whole army is waiting outside Zaofu. We also see Asami's dad in this episode too. Besides what I've mentioned, there's not much that has happened but I'm really excited for what's going to come. They mentioned that this will be the last for the series, so too bad. I wish they were going to make another series of Avatar!!!

The Legend Of Korra Season 4 Episode 4 The Calling (TV Show Review)
Hey everyone, so I watched episode 4 of Legend of Korra so let's recap on what happened without giving too much away. So Jinora, Ikki and Meelo are on a quest to find the Avatar after she's been missing for quite some time. If you've been watching throughout the season, then you'd know that she's been at the swamp. I myself can't really say what happens without giving too much away, because so little actually happens in this episode that there's not that much I can say without giving too much away anyway so that's all I can giveaway.
There's not really any action in this episode, I feel like it was more of a filler episode to try and fill in the story gap. Of course the creators could have extended the whole event to fit in a whole season to carry onto another season/ series but obviously they did not want to do that and confined everything to one episode. So anyway, there's not much I can say sorry, but it's all worth it in the end I guess. No idea what can really happen next at the moment, but I hope Toph comes back at the end for some finale!
Yea sorry this wasn't a very interesting review, but that's only because there's not much to review on. Meelo does meet a girl though, and for some reason, I didn't think that Jinora, Ikki and Meelo were vegetarians until this episode, even though when I think about it, they must be.
Yea anyway, can't wait to see the finale. Until next time I'll talk to everyone later, bye!

Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon (Movie Review)
Hey everyone, so the title says movie review, but you should all know by now that reviews at the moment will be kept to the minimum as I'm focusing most of my time studying these days, but let's get onto a quick review on another Scooby-Doo movie.
Unlike the previous film I watched, I actually watched this one from start to end, and even still at this moment there are some blanks which I cannot fill in, and I don't know if my brain is exhausted after a long day, or that I'm just not cut out to watch children targeted movies anymore. But anyway, this film features Blue Falcon and Dynomutt who are characters created by Hanna-Barbera Productions from a 70's show I believe, though I was born in the late 90's so until today I had no idea about these characters (sorry about that folks!) . So anyway, I guess this marks a sort of guest appearance/ collab with the Scooby-Doo franchise.
The film revolves around a comic-book convention in which as you guessed it, there's a monster wrecking havoc, and the Mayor is only interested in investment from the convention, so the event continues. The original Blue Falcon actor was replaced by a younger actor and stars in a new film about the Blue Falcon, with everyone oblivious to the original Blue Falcon. This actually reminds me of one of the Ben 10 episodes, but I won't talk about that here. So anyway, the Mystery Inc gang investigates the mystery, and really... that's sort of what I remember, until ending anyway.
This film really just follows your usual Scooby-Doo film format, so much that I cannot really say much, other than I wish they could introduce something in which they have not yet. Though I know it's hard to get that new idea. In actual fact these new films seem to sort of follow a similar route. I don't know why, but the first few films up to the mid 00's seemed really good compared to these newer ones, I don't know what happened! Though when it came to unmasking the guy in the mask, you sort of don't have a clue on who it actually was. Every time I see a new Scooby-Doo episode or movie, I try to figure out who the culprit was, though most of the time, the evidence that they "collect" is a bit lacking.
Overall there's not much to talk about, it just follows your usual film routine. I'm not saying it's a bad film, but when you've seen most of the collection, the films can get a bit repetitive. My raiting would have to be a 6.5/10. Not bad at all. Well until my next investigation, bye!

Avatar the Legend of Korra Season 4, Episode 3,The Coronation (Cartoon Review)
Hey everyone, I'm real late today and it's almost midnight so I'm going to rush this! So The Coronation, what actually happened?? Well I'll try and not spill the beans too much, but basically Wu has a coronation to become the Earth King. The only piece of jewelry left was an earring later called a broach to make it more masculine bahaha. This was due to the fact that the Earth Kingdom Palace was robbed of it's jewels. We also see what happened to the palace which has now turned into a tourist attraction, and actually I feel a bit sad seeing this. We also see more of Toph, and the reason behind Korra not being her 100% self. There's not actually too much to this episode, but it sets the scene for the next episode as all events present in this episode sort of is a cliffhanger for the next episode.
Well overall not much action, but a lot of drama, plot wise there's a plot twist which people sort of knew was coming as we see things in a new light. I won't rate this episode or anything, but I'll have to see for the next episodes. I know when people do reviews they just reveal the whole plot, but I hate reading stuff like that before I've actually seen it, so hopefully I didn't give anything away.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Season 1 (Cartoon Review)
Hello everybody, today I'm just going to talk about the cartoon Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Season 1. So I used to watch it on TV a long time ago, and watch the movies. I watched Mystery Incorporated back in 2011, but found myself missing out on the rest of season 1 as it was a time when I stopped watching anything on TV. Yea anyway, back to the show....
So if you've watched any of the Scooby-Doo shows or movies, then you might realise that this one is a bit different to your usual ones. It's still a person dressed up as a monster usually, though this time this series has a more of a darker tone to it all. And when I say darker tone, I mean it will probably scare children. There's some times when it actually looks like a character dies (Like being consumed by bugs etc), pretty different to some of the previous titles.
I don't really have much to say about this series though, it's pretty good I have to say. Just the darker tones could scare the younger children. There have been a couple of plot twists though, and the stuff about Mr E and the previous detective kids makes the storyline much more interesting, and a lot more spooky. Out of a 10, I think I'd give it a 7.5. Well until next time, bye!

Legend of Korra Season 4 Episode 1&2, After All These Years & Korra Alone (TV Show Review)
Hey everyone, so I finally got around watching the first two episodes of season 4 of Legend of Korra. So here's a quick rundown of what happened, not revealing too much hoping, but spoiler alert!
It's been 3 years since the end of Season 3 so everyone's grown up and are beginning to live out their lives after what happened in the previous seasons. The main spoilers are that Korra is actually missing at the end of episode 1, and in Episode 2 we finally find out where Toph has gone.
Hopefully I didn't reveal too much. I have to say that these two episodes are more story than anything, something more for the LOK people to watch definitely! In actual fact I thought Season 4 might have continued straight from Season 3, but there's quite a gap, similar to LOA but a bigger gap. Also did you notice the episode name "Korra Alone", seems familiar doesn't it??
Some of the Earth Kingdom villages became corrupt by bandits after the death of the Earth Queen (Still can't get over the fact of an actual killing on the show!), and now there's a replacement Earth King (He's the great nephew??? of the Earth Queen) all I can say is that they should have picked someone else for the part!
As for Korra, why did she run off instead of talking to people? I still don't quite understand it. Partly because she sees herself in the Avatar state, but thinks it's an illusion for quite some time.
Anyway, this post is getting too long. Overall the episodes are good for Avatar fans as we all wanted to just keep continuing on with the series. What I actually hoped for was some sort of event which would follow on from Season 3, but I really don't feel it at the moment. They sort of made another problem out of the blue, but it's new that Korra is alone.

Hotel Transylvania (Movie Review)
Hotel Transylvania is playing on TV at the moment so I thought I might as well watch and blog at the same time. My first immediate impressions was Despicable Me, and mostly because of the how the character talks haha.
I won't discuss the story line much but basically Count Dracula is running a hotel and is raising his 117 year old daughter Mavis alone after his wife was brutally killed by a mob in the 20th century. Being the over-protective father, he doesn't let his daughter go out and see the world, a dream she has. When a 21 year old human Jonathan arrives, he falls for Mavis, and turns the hotel upside down, making things "fun".
There's some funny bits in this film. There's a part when Mavis tries going out to the real world, but hits a snag when there's a mob of people who surround her, only to have themselves stab themselves and set themselves on fire(by accident of course as they're actually not human). I think the garlic + bread is really funny because of the Vampires don't like garlic thing haha.
Basically though, most of the storyline goes to Dracula stopping Jonathan from revealing that he's a human to the rest of the monsters and also stopping Mavis from wanting to leave home and travel the world. I really can't remember what happened at the end, so that isn't a good sign.
Overall it's an alright film, but I think more could have happened in it. Probably better for young children to watch as they won't care about the plot as much, though I have to say that there are elements which would probably scare young kids so you'd need to be careful with that.

Avatar The Legend of Korra Book 4 Episode 1 (TV Show News)
Hey everyone, so Episode 1 of Book 4 for Avatar The Legend of Korra was finally released! It's called “After All These Years”, and IGN has nicely provided a little snippet of a clip for us to all watch, Click Here!
I myself am excited about Book 4, but at the same time, it means that the series ends, and there's probably no more Avatar TV show ever again :( But I hope they keep on continuing with the comic book!

Avatar The Legend of Korra, Season 3, Episode 12&13, Enter the Void & Venom of the Red Lotus (Final Series Episode Review)
Ok so it's been around 2 weeks since both episodes aired, and today I finally got the chance to watch these two episodes. Of course I will not spill the beans, especially as these are the final episodes of the season.
In episode 12 Enter the Void, Korra surrenders herself to the Red Lotus to save the Air Benders. There's a bit of intense fighting which causes a death of one character on the show, and someone learns lava bending and also someone learns how to fly :D And also a character manages to say "I love you"!!!!
In episode 13 Venom of the Red Lotus we get a bit of the flashback of the previous villains as Korra is forced into the Avatar state by the Red Lotus by giving her poison and yes, there is more fighting as the series reaches its climax.
Episode 13 was probably the most emotional episode I've ever seen on the Legend of Korra, especially near the end. I stayed watching the credits in sort of disbelief that the episode and series ended so fast. I feel like the ending really suited it. The emotions remind me just like the end of Avatar the Legend of Aang, but this time, there's still one more season.
The fighting in both episodes are still pretty entertaining, with a majority usually resulting in a death or injury. I feel like the creators really started experimenting with death on avatar. Ways which you sort of think "Did they really just kill her??". So it feels a bit strange when a character is killed. I made sure to check online just in case the character didn't actually die after all(but they did haha)
The team on Avatar really did a great job with the storyline for the final episodes I think and I think they're probably the highlight of the season, but you have to wonder why Korra is always kidnapped. The series ends at a place where you need to wonder what will happen in the next series,
I give these two episodes an 8.5/10, with an overall 8/10 for the whole series. Probably this was the best out of all three seasons so far, so I'm egar to see what's in store for season 4. I'd love to keep going on about the season, but I might just reveal too much so it's best to just watch! Well, until next time!

Dragon Ball Z Season 4 (MId Way Review)
Hello everybody, sorry for all the Dragon Ball Z blogs but I've been watching it pretty much everyday and made it past season 3. I have to say that there wasn't much to season 3, mostly just Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta and Krillin battling Frieza for probably 20+ episodes, and that carried on from the previous season! Following on from the previous season, everyone was wished back to earth and now Vegeta and Yamcha lives with Bulma's family (how this happened I sort of forgot sorry lol), but a year or so passes since the previous season, and everyone is settling down. Goku still doesn't arrive back yet, until around mid way through (spoiler alert sorry). Frieza appears again but is fought off by a mysterious Saiyan named Trunks who later is found to be from the future and gives details on what will happen if Goku and the gang don't change it, so now everyone is training because within 3 years so Android people will come and basically destroy the place(like we haven't heard of that before right??)
Anyway, a little side plot I think is interesting... Gohan is forced to study by Chi-Chi and since he's so smart she decided to hire a tutor for him, who is really mean and nasty. This is probably the most interesting thing to happen in the series haha, so make sure you watch it if you haven't already.
I think what differs from this season to the others is that it's not just one big fight season like some of the previous seasons. We get to see characters go on with their lives while training at the same time, which is interesting to see. Although the season half way doesn't have as much fighting, I think this is good as the fight sequences only last for a couple of episodes(I like it). Is this too much rambling for you?? Sorry about that!
Currently I'm watching Goku and Piccolo try and get their drivers license haha. What I never really thought about is the characters growing up. Gohan seemed like a wee young kid at season 1, and now he looks more mature, even though he's still a kid. Bulma changes her hairdo once again to an Afro?? I'm always wondering why she's always changing her hair style.
Also I know that the show tries to seem futuristic, while they still mention cassettes and VCR's etc and show people with the big box TV's lol, so if you're creating a futuristic TV show, make sure you leave out the tech, or at least make it seem more futuristic, with no now days tech in the background!
That's all really, goodnight!

The Legend of Korra, Episode 11, The Ultimatum (Episode Review)
Hello everybody! So I just came back from uni and decided to review the latest Legend of Korra episode "The Ultimatum". Well, as always I won't reveal too much of the plot but the main things which should be noted are that The Earth Palace in Ba Sing Se has become corrupt. Looters have started to steal everything. As Bolin and Mako make their way back to find Korra and the rest of the gang, Zaheer and the rest of the Red Lotus gang attack the northern air temple. Tenzin, Bumi and Kya helps the other Air Benders try and escape by battling with the Red Lotus.
So that's all I'll really say about the plot. I know I may have ruined it for some(sorry!). I thought that the episode was very interesting and exciting and definitely many things happen which leave this episode into a cliff hanger.
I think after the previous episode where the Earth Queen was suffocated, Avatar became less child friendly, and more teen oriented as usually you don't see these sort of things on screen on Nickelodeon, but the thing is that they moved online, so maybe that could have been a reason why??
In this episode, I think there are many times in which you can expect that a character has died, or will die. I think the Aang gang are very Heroic, and also Kai as they are trying to save all the other air benders. SO actually this episode is quite emotional.
As the red lotus are trying to exterminate the air benders, there is a lot of fighting going on at around the 2nd half of the episode, so you can expect pretty interesting action sequences.
Also, once you've finished this episode, do you think it was right for Bolin and Mako's grandma to want to stay at her own home as it was about to burn down??? Also that picture of the Earth Queen tat she was practically worshiping?? Either way, I think it proves that she's dead, as in the last episode, I was a bit unsure as no one gets killed in Avatar. The just die off screen or something, or are just mentioned.
Hope you enjoyed this recent review. I quite liked this episode. I'd give it a 8.5!!! Can't wait for te last episode next week, I can't believe that season 3 has come to an end almost! They should have continued the Aang adventures though, too bad it's just in comic book form. ANyway, consider watching this episode or series, bye!

Family Guy Season 1 DVD (TV Show Review)
Ok, so the reason I'm saying Season 1 DVD is because in the series DVD they mixed season one with part of season 2 in so it's easier to just mention the DVD. I bought it on Trade Me along wither 8 other seasons and some additional TV specials. I decided to watch the series while doing some uni work, so I've probably been listening to the how more than actually watching.
What sets the show apart from other shows is that some of the characters(especially the dad of the family, Peter) acts so dumb, and if you thought Homer from The Simpsons was, then you were wrong, it's so much that I must cringe ><. They also like to add in comedy violence, so in the show a character could tell the other to cut their head off or something and they'd do it(just something random lolz).
Another recurring thing is that in almost all episodes, they have these sort of things where a character mentions something, and they show what the character was thinking(sometimes a sort of fake flashback or just a normal flashback), do I need to explain??? lol.
Also they like to do this repeating gag thing. An example in this series was when Peter(I think) can't stop laughing, and as Lois(Peter's Wife) tries to say something, Peter starts laughing. This repeats over and over for a minute or two. At the end there's a huge pause before Lois starts talking.
Some of the episodes like to parody films or other shows as well, so if you like that sort of stuff, you must watch :)
All in all, this show is really comedic, lots of inside jokes, lots of family drama. If you like that sort of stuff and haven't watched this series then you should consider it! Each episode normally doesn't link to any others so you can watch them out of order if you want, and whenever you have time.
My rating is 8/10. Something you might not understand is Stewie, the talking baby. He talks English, but sometimes people either ignore him or don't take him seriously and think it's baby talk. More is revealed in the future series.
Well that's all. I got that replacement for Full Metal Panic so that's awesome! Can't wait to finish watching, and I also started Bleach season 3. Bye for now!

The Legend of Korra Season 3, Episode 9, The Stakeout (TV Show Recap & Review)
Hey everyone! I won't reveal too much of episode 9 but this is basically half of it anyway as I don't want to reveal the end to you guys who haven't watched it yet. So Korra and her friends go and search for Aiwei. Naga find a hidden jeep, but Korra doesn't have a treat to reward her so Naga slaps her with her tail lol! Bolin and Mako set off at Misty Palms Oasis, asking people around, looking for Aiwei, only to be spotted by bounty hunters but are able to chase them off. When they find Aiwei, they have a stakeout and spy on Aiwei, waiting for him to contact Zaheer.
Korra enters the spirit world and finds Aiwei and Zaheer. We learn about the Red Lotus. Then we find out why Zaheer tried to kidnap Korra as a child, duh duh duh!!!!! All I can say is that there's a plot twist at the end!
Funny bits in this episode:

Funny bits in this episode:
- Naga slapping Korra with her tail
- Yellow poncho disguises
- Bolin finds some fans and is given a doll
- Bolin almost wins a pai shou game but it spoilt by his pet
This episode revealed a lot of things about Zaheer and is group that we as viewers wanted to know from previous episodes, and they were mostly revealed in this episode. It also left many questions at the end of the episode. It ends in a cliff hanger, and all I can say is that I want to watch episode 10 right now!
I think that if anyone missed this season then things may not make sense later on so story wise, this episode is a must watch. Action wise, it's mostly at the end. No rating for this blog post but I did enjoy it though! If you haven't seen The Legend of Korra yet then make sure you check it out!

The Legend of Korra Book 3 Change (TV Show Review)
We are currently up to book 3, episode 9. This is the first episode where they started showing episodes online only. I will not talk about episode 9 but on what's happened so far and my thoughts so if you don't want spoilers on stuff up to episode 9 I suggest you don't read this until you do.
I've been a fan of Avatar for as long as it came out. I used to watch the series once a month or two. My all time record was only 2.5 weeks apart before I watched the whole series again. It was sad to hear it end but when I heard about Legend of Korra I was really excited! I have to say the first book wasn't that great, and book 2 only got better towards the end.
By book 3 they explore more places other than just stay in Republic City. After Harmonic Convergence, new airbenders started popping up all over the place. What got me thinking was for one thing, yay the airbenders arn't almost extinct anymore, but really, was this how airbenders came to be? Could an airbender pop up in the fire nation with fire nation blood in them?? Hard to say but I guess the creators needed to save them somehow. Bumi became an airbender which means Avatar Aang didn't just have one but two Airbender sons in the family. TBH I thought he looked more like the firebender type but oh well haha.
In the first episode(or the second I don't remember) a giant plant thing attacks the city but after that episode where did it go? What happened? It's like they completely forgot about it. Maybe it'll come back in another episode?? Who knows but uh oh haha!
New characters are introduced including an Airbender named Kai who I've drawn a liking to. Maybe they'll create a new season with him, who knows haha, but he's my favourite in this season! He developed airbending skills quite quickly for someone who had only just got his bending abilities not too long ago.
Some other characters are introduced also but I won't go into too much depth as I'm sure you don't want me to talk about characters all day but in my opinion why does every season have it's own bad guy. Legend of Aang had Zuko, Zhao, Azula and Ozai but you kind of think every fire nation person is bad but Legend of Korra kind of goes all over the place with them. What we wonder in this series are who are these bad guys and what do they want with Korra?? In Episode 8 they try and capture her but is saved by her friends and comrades(can't spell the a word sorry ><).
Speaking of episode 8 there's a couple of things I remember too. Korra learns metal bending and Lin has a sister(who knew!) and the father? No one knows yet but people are eager to find out!

Season 3 has many plot turns and surprises! I'm ending the post here as I'm sure you're ready to watch this show if you haven't aready. If I had to rate it so far I'd give it a 8.5/10. In terms of story line it's really improved from the previous books. I think what's made it really interesting is that you want to know what will happen with the airbenders and why do people want to kidnap Korra? And Lin's family connections??? And the evil queen who's not good with animals. Oh well, there's still more episodes in store for Avatar so stay tuned! Watch if you haven't watched this series yet, especially if you like action, adventure with some sci-fi elements. It's commonly mistaken for an anime so if you like anime then possibly consider it. For now bye!
